When McAfee joked that he might be dating pop star Britney Spears, Rodgers clarified with a laugh: “No, this is Brittani with an 'i'.” He added that she doesn't watch the show and isn’t on social media, offering a rare glimpse into his typically private personal life.

Rodgers, who visited the Steelers' facility in March, is not under contract following his release from the New York Jets. While he confirmed that joining Pittsburgh remains a possibility, he also stated he has told head coach Mike Tomlin that the team is free to move on if they choose not to wait.

"This entire time, I haven't felt like I owed anybody a decision," Rodgers said. "If you need to move on and do something, love and respect. But there's been no deadline. I've talked to Mike T many times."

Rodgers added that money would not play a role in his final decision. "I told every single one of the teams, it ain't about the money," he said. "I'll play for $10 million. Whatever. I'm open to anything and attached to nothing. Retirement could still be a possibility."

The veteran quarterback’s comments come as NFL teams look to finalise their rosters ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft, which begins on April 24. Rodgers’ timeline suggests he may not make a decision until after the draft.

The Steelers recently re-signed Mason Rudolph to a two-year, $8 million deal and currently have him listed as their starting quarterback. Last season, Pittsburgh parted ways with Russell Wilson and Justin Fields, both of whom are now signed with New York teams. Wilson joined the Giants, while Fields signed with the Jets — replacing Rodgers.

Rodgers’ recent seasons have been marred by injury and underperformance. He missed the 2023 campaign due to injury and finished the 2024 season with a 5-12 record. His stint with the Jets, meant to end their 14-year playoff drought, ultimately failed.
